Did you ever have someone in your world, who may or may not be a relative or friend, yet they play a number of roles in your life?
You really don't know what you would do without this person. You hope it's a mighty long time before you have to find out.
I have such a person in my life. She is both a relative, friend and so much more.
❥ She is a constant. Second only to my Mother, she never misses a beat in remembering the special days in our family.
❥ She is a role model in many ways - both personally and professionally.
❥ She is faithful - both in good times and in the very bad. She is faith-filled and her prayers carry quite a bit of weight.
❥ She shares my views in all the ways that matter and respectfully accepts the few differences we may have.
❥ She accepts and appreciates the family I have brought to our family, including my husband and the many fur critters we have had over these last thirty years.
❥ She shares her birthday this year with the Winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest day and longest night of the year, which happens to be today, December 21st. Her special day is distinctly different from Christmas Day, a mere four days later.
❥ She has a wicked sense of humor, albeit, ever so subtle. She is always appreciative of tokens for her 'half' birthday, which I episodically remember on June 21st. 😉
❥ She is truly one in a million, and I'm grateful to raise our coffee cups this morning to another year of each other's fine company.
Happy Birthday, CAC! Sharing you a song that has always reminded me our childhood by Neil Diamond, Sweet Caroline...
Until next week, wishing you all a merry and peaceful Christmas.
