Thanks for stopping by Inspiration Station - always lovely to see you here...!

It's my pleasure to share some of my very favorite Springtime purchases and gifts.  I do hope the beauty, creativity and passion that you see in the following treasures will also inspire you.  You may even get some ideas for your own gift giving - for others or better yet, for yourself!

Here we go... please enjoy!

Spring is the season of First Holy Communions, Confirmations, graduations, and a variety of other reasons for lovely young ladies to accent their dresses with a pretty hair bow.

With three gals on my list this year, I was ever so grateful to have Amber's Angelic Creations to turn to.  In one simple e-mail, I established contact and explained my basic color themes for the girls.

Amber was efficient, courteous and very creative - making each with a unique bow - as you can see in these adorable pictures. She even put a toothed-clip on the back them so they won't slide.

I know I plan to be a return customer and I'm hoping you'll check out her work as well. For me, this was a 5-star experience!

I love supporting Amber Jackson's business. She's the daughter of my dear friend, Kimmie Thompson (also an indie biz owner) of RK Treasure Center. She's one of those wonderful folks in the indie biz community who shows us that 'indie is incredible'!

Here's a link to a review of Amber's Angelic Creations that featured on flashPress, Indie Biz: Amber's Angelic Creations.

The Photography of Linda Bilyeu

Some of my dearest friends have springtime birthdays. It's no wonder I contacted my talented friend, Linda Bilyeu, to see what she had cooking in her Fine Art America photo gallery.  As you can see by these two floral beauties I selected, she did not disappoint!

I was able to order beautiful greeting cards, some with messages and others blank. My friends have been tickled pink! FAA will even ship directly to another address if your loved one lives out of state.

How easy and thoughtful is that - in one tidy bow?

Linda was kind enough to share another new resource with me - her friend, Jen.  This talented lady is able to take any design on FAA and fashion coordinating address labels and round labels for the backs of your envelopes.  Well, this was music to mar's ears and I am expecting my first order any day from Jen, who proved to be delightful to work with.

Via email correspondence, she provides a most efficient turn-around time and maintains a reasonable price for her service. In using her business I found the perfect accent to these lovely greeting cards...

Feel free to contact Jen if you appreciate the beauty and efficiency of this practical 'must have' on my list of favorites. Simply send an email  to Jen Housewright (SOHO Office) via jen@mysohofl.com.

a Sannel Larson Collection

There is the most awesome picture of the latest portrait in my Sannel Larson collection called Alvin the Debonair in my recent interview with her.

I couldn't resist taking this opportunity of showing you how beautiful my fur babies look hanging in the front hallway -  Alvin, Aunt Baby and Andy.

I'm thrilled that, in my upcoming order from Jen, I've ordered Andy's handsome mug for our house address labels and stickers.

With friends like Sannel, Linda and Jen, 'greeting card fever' has taken hold of me! I'm giving you all fair warning - it's highly infectious!

A Gift To Myself From ShabbyBath Naturals

I'm ever grateful to my friend, femmeflashpoint of flashPress, for introducing me to Tammy and Maria, the co-owners of Shabbybath Naturals.

Since making my first purchase over a year ago, I've never looked back. These ladies are tops in customer service, efficiency and southern sweetness.

The bath and body products I have gotten for myself and as gifts for friends have consistently delivered as promised: simply natural ~ simply healthier ~ simply beautiful

I just made a fairly large springtime purchase with a generous discount of FREE S&H. Here's a look at what I bought this time.

Check out these products for yourself. One click on the right-side ad will get you to the shop!
Here's a link to a review written not long after I first got acquainted with Shabbybath products,
Marcoujor: Not Too Shabby! And below is a small slideshow featuring a few of my favorite Shabbybath Naturals products.

A Gift from Vicki Warner - Wearable Art by Kay Jaeck

Picture
I was introduced to the talents of Kay Jaeck when my friend, Vicki Warner of WarnerWords, featured her private collection in How Should Seniors Sell Their Work.

Kay's brooches are high quality costume jewelry derived from recycled, often expensive things that people don't want, and are happy to get rid of.

Imagine my sheer and utter delight when I received a gift from Vicki a couple weeks ago - yes, my very own  brooch by Kay. I was touched when Vicki told me the angel made her think of me.

Hoping you enjoyed some of my favorite things. If for some reason you didn't (but especially if you did), I'd like to close this post up with my favorite thing of all...sharing good music with those I care about.
Until next time, I wish you peace and inspiration with the beauty of your favorite things around you.

Dear Mareer,
What a lovely promotion for some great Indie businesses. Quite dazzling in fact. I loved them all, and I was of course absolutely thrilled to see my dear friend Kay Jaeck's beautiful pin shown in all its glory. So glad it's one of your favourite things! All her pins are unique, so there's a special one for everyone! Somehow the Angel seemed appropriate for you.
Wow! Lots of lovely things there, finishing with that nice song. Gotta have music!
Loved it, dear friend, and you.

Dear Vicki,

I loved showing off my brooch from Kay Jaeck - hoping with your support and promotion, she will soon set up a virtual shop.

My music was a bit different than your recent choice - happy you enjoyed.

Have a peaceful Sunday. Love and hugs, Maria

What an awesome collection of your favorite things! Reading posts like these, put me into a reckless shopping mood. This one goes straight to my bookmarks. Keeping SA's pathetic mail services in mind, this is an alternative root to one of my own favorite things, namely marcoujor...

Amber's collections is so-so pretty and creative, and so are all of the creations in here. I am so proud of my collection of Sannel's cards you have sent me, Mar. They are soon going to have a special place against a special wall in my house - I will send you the picture...

This is truly a highly inspirational post. Thank you, Mar :)

Dear Martie,

I am sad I cannot mail you more of my favorite things...fingers crossed that one day this 'mail mess' will be sorted out - as you are seriously one of my FAVORITE peeps.

I am touched that you would hang Sannel's beautiful portraits of my kids -- looking forward to that picture of the pictures so much!

Love you, mar

Thank you, dear friend for sharing some of your favorite things.

Dear Theresa,

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I love "San's" new name - aren't these devices silly when they try to tell us how to spell?!

Have a lovely day. Hugs to you too, Maria
