I have borrowed the words of some wise folks in this post… even ‘Mr. or Miss Unknown’. And I have selected a variety of classic to ‘brand new’ music that says way more than I ever could … “Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.” ~ Helen Keller “Darkness comes. In the middle of it, the future looks blank. The temptation to quit is huge. Don’t. You are in good company… You will argue with yourself that there is no way forward. But with God, nothing is impossible. He has more ropes and ladders and tunnels out of pits than you can conceive. Wait. Pray without ceasing. Hope.” ~ John Piper “When life knocks you down, roll over and look at the stars.” ~ Unknown Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul—and sings the tunes without the words—and never stops at all.” ~ Emily Dickinson “It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt “People are like stained=glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Whether you can directly relate or you know / love someone who is going through a difficult time, may you find comfort, inspiration and hope from your visit here today.
And thank you for taking the time to stop by… feel free to share - you will know if someone in your world needs a boost of spirits and a connection with others. Until next time, wishing you peace and inspiration, through ‘the good times and the bad’, mar

Music soothes the soul. I can only imagine the difficult stories you hear day to day in your professional life. I admire your students that pursue a career helping others when their own lives are fraught with challenges. The music choices are favorites. Listening now.

Good to see something by the Byrds. Otherwise none of the groups/artist were familiar. As for days that are darkened with sadness, illness, death and countless other disappointments:life comes in waves, it is good to be braced, as not to be pulled under. As always, Inspiration Station is a good depot for a breather from the waves.

Hello Maria.....I know the darkness you write of and the need for comfort and inspiration during our times of sadness. It is at such moments we feel inadequate and lost, groping for any means to save our sanity. Wise words of compassion & understanding, a hand to hold & shoulder to lean on are a must. I know we can inspire someone when the need arises and you have that gift, Maria, so never worry.
