After publishing
Inspiration Through The Dark Times and Inspiration Despite Self - Doubt over the last couple months, I’ve decided to continue on with this series in Inspiration Station - for a little while anyway…!!

I'd love to hear if you have ideas for future installments, either via the comment section or email.

For now, let’s look at how inspiration can play a role in our personal and professional lives - during periods of impatience, with situations, people or life in general.

Once again, I am incorporating some related quotations and thought provoking melodies...

“Impatience causes wise people to do foolish things.”- Janette Oke
“What a tremendous sin impatience is, he thinks. It blinds us to the moment before us, and it is only when that moment has passed that we look back, and see it was full of treasures.”― Robert Jackson Bennett
“What good has impatience ever brought? It has only served as the mother of mistakes and the father of irritation.” ― Steve Maraboli
"Never allow impatience to prevent you for reaching your full potential.”― Lailah Gifty Akita
“Don't you get too greedy, Death. You already have taken more than your fair share today. You can't have me yet.”― Stacey Lee
“When we get impatient because something is taking too long, we should remember that Life waits on us a thousand times more than we wait on life.” ― Laura Teresa Marquez
Whether you can directly relate or you know / love someone who is prone to impatience, may you find comfort, inspiration and hope from your visit here today.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by… feel free to share with others who may need an infusion of support, hope and relaxation as well.

Until next time, wishing you peace and inspiration, mar

Enya's beautiful rendition of 'Only Time' is one of my favorites.

Impatience is something that, should we encounter it from others, can drive us, in turn, to distraction.  And "there's the rub."

Robert Jackson's "It blinds us to the moment before us," is so very true!

Thank you for this moment of inspiration, Maria.  Hugs, Genna.

Listening to some haunting music. Impatiences? What is that? Rhetorical question of course. Inspiration is in short supply, so your efforts here are helping to supply the universe.

Ah, Sis, I appreciate your patience to wait until after a day's worth of NCAA Basketball Tourney finally finished up to allow me to comment. You know, there is a positive side to impatience. Ever have company coming that you can't wait to see and remember, "I have to clean the house before they get here!" Impatience can motivate us to complete those last minute tasks that we know must get done, but put off doing until their importance. Editing one's book is another one of those tasks. It's been stated by Noah Lukeman that one spends two to three times the amount of time on editing than writing. It's a draining task, but one's impatience at getting their work published motivates it getting done. As I've entered my later years, I no longer let the little things disrupt my patience as I once did, but I do have to admit to getting somewhat impatient at slow drivers at times, or those sitting at stoplights texting when the light is green. Of course, that's why cars have horns. They allow us to vent. lol Luv Ya, Sis!

Both you and your comment are adorable, dear Bro. Funny how we tend to see eye to eye on things, isn't it... ;)

Love you and big hugs too, Sis

Dear Mar,

I love these quotes about impatience, and the way you have connected them to appropriate songs.

Fortunately, aging, or perhaps the wisdom I have acquired while aging, makes me less prone to impatience.

Hugs,
Martie

Dear Martie,

I'm happy you enjoyed this.

Like you, I was way more impatient as a young lady ... although I sure still have my moments! Hugs to you, mar

Maria....As always, your selections of accompanying "music" is near perfection. ( Really like all the songs chosen.)
And again, all your words are quite "inspiring," as your readers can clearly see parts of their own frequent struggles through life. Each of us striving in unique ways to reach that "Inner Peace," we all desire.
I have probably battled Ms Impatience as hard and as often as any of my personal flaws. Most of the time, although it tires the hell outta me...I arrive at a place of self-compromise. Yes, our arguments with ourselves can be the toughest of all!! Go figure, ey, girlfriend?? Love & Hugs, Effer

Dear Paula,

Thanks for your feedback - I'm delighted that you love these songs as much as I do.

I agree that we are usually hardest on ourselves. And it surely is tiring to always be chasing our proverbial tails ... Your wisdom and perspectives are appreciated.

Love you lots, Maria

Dear Maria,

I meant to write a comment but the music led me astray. So now one day later, I'll finally get to it. No need to say that I loved listening to the video clips. ;)
My friends throughout my life, have always told me that I'm one of the most patient people they have ever known. Well, I'm just being me, I guess. . .Ms. Patient, haha! Always have been and always will be.
Thank you for a great post, and as always, your selected music are music to my ears. :)
Love and hugs,
Sannel
