![]() "Everything my mother and father did was designed to put me where I am." -- Henry Louis Gates The month of June brings reminders of all the men in my life who are fathers. My Dad was one of a kind. To my recollection, his total life focus was providing for his family - working long hours on the night shift for Reading Railroad. Understandably, Dad didn't spend much time listening to music on the radio. He did enjoy singing in the church choir during my grade school years. ![]() I know he would be ever proud of the fathers and grandfathers that his two sons are today - as the beat goes on in the Couchara family. It's comforting to imagine that even those who work the hardest are able to have the time and desire to relax. I hope Dad's heavenly days are spent in peace and true happiness - rooting for the Phillies with ice cream and a cold beer. Each of the songs I selected this week remind me of Dad - a proud Italian - American who instilled a solid work ethic in each of his children. ShoutOuts ~
