![]() "Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for your life to begin and start making the most of the moment you're in." - Germany Kent How many of you here today think more about tomorrow than today? I'll readily admit that I'm wired to be future-driven. Life circumstances have taught me that today is the best present we can give ourselves... Let's continue to remind ourselves not to put off daily joy and smiles until ... graduation - a certain age milestone - retirement - whatever the "excuse du jour" is ... So for today, I WISH you WADS of joy, smiles and happiness in the form of these WILD, WEIRD, and WOW-type "W"-songs for your musical WONDERMENT. Something Old: There's something about this classic that makes me stop in my tracks every time. Through the good times and the "not so good", Wild Horses couldn't drag me away from my music. Something New: The lyrics of this song led me to learn a little more about the man behind Strand of Oaks - aka Timothy Showalter. At 37 years of age, Showalter has battled childhood illness, a heartbreaking divorce, a house fire resulting in homelessness and a near death experience in 2013 from a car crash. He started writing his music in 2003. How wonderful that his path to healing includes the music that he now shares with us all... Something Borrowed: The Revivalists have been around since 2007. I became a fan of their music in 2015 - when I listened to a radio interview with them. I learned that guitarist Zack Feinberg met vocalist/lyricist David Shaw when he rode his bike on a different path than usual. Feinberg heard Shaw singing on his porch - stopped his bike - and the rest "as they say" was history. What a story! What a sound - see for yourself... :) Something Blue: I heard this song on my Blues program the other week. WOW - both an artist and his song fit the category - slam dunk ... ! ShoutOutsUntil next week, wishing you peace and a song in your heart, mar
