![]() Ain't it funny how time slips away...? Ah, Willie Nelson...what a voice! Mom and I would sit on the porch and listen to songs like this and never have to say a word. He said everything for us. Now, especially during the month of May, I am drawn to listen to Willie's music and to remember Mom's wisdom. Mom would have gotten such a kick out of my friend Vicki's recent post about me, Dear Mother Mareer She would have really appreciated that I retained my high school paper from my experiences at F.W. Woolworth's and analyzed the role that it had in my career path as a psychiatric nurse recently in, marcoujor: Some Things Never Change ![]() My husband and I are both reflective as we remember two years ago in May when his beautiful sister lost her fight to cancer. The very daffodils that Aunt Baby surrounds herself in are an annual reminder of Dawn's love and legacy - as she would send bulbs to her brother every year for his March birthday. And just as I began to feel an inkling of despair, as I do from time to time, I opened this e-mail from a student I recently taught: Dear Maria, I wanted to thank you for being an inspiration to me this past semester. You truly helped me push through the stress and complete this semester. Only one more until my license. ☺ Your words and actions have helped me during finals as well as in my personal life. I know that your advice and positive thoughts will fill my mind whenever I am troubled. Since you like to share songs and good vibes, I would like to share one with you. Remember how I said I was in the choir on campus (president of it actually)? Well this weekend after singing for graduation, we will be singing down at the art museum for Race for the Cure (we do this every year) and we get to sing with a singer Matt Goss. We are his backup for the song 'Strong' and it very much reminds me of you. Thank you again for everything you've done for myself, as well as all of the other people whose lives you've touched and changed for the better! Sincerely, Dennis S ![]() So, my beautiful student is going to be singing to find a cure...and he is going to be a nurse too? And I was starting to feel despair because...why...?? Uh, never mind. AND he thinks I'm STRONG. Let me go wipe my eyes and act accordingly. Oh and how about this adorable pose of Andy Jordan and the Mother's Day Rhododendron he got for his Mommy? Before you go, don't miss the rest of this week's latest in the Weeblyhood... Sunnie Day's When Delilah Smiles via flashPress Thank you for your visit. Until next week... Peace, mar

Wait, Andy gardens. That hardly seems fair, a K9 prunner and I am sure he sings, so that makes him a crooner and I rushed over though I could have arrived sooner.

Wow! An inspiring post all the way around, and I especially loved the ending when your student, Dennis, shared such a heartfelt thank you and dedicated the song to you!

I love Willie too, Mar. When the page opened to his braids and beat up guitar, a smile came to my face. I could listen to him all day long!
