![]() This week I'm proud to share a guest post written by Andy, my sweet Black Labrador son, soon to be three years old. ![]() I have a crush on Mommy! I love to look deep into her eyes. Pop even calls me a 'Momma's boy', whatever the heck that means. When Mommy and Pop rescued me as a pup, I was so scared. Mommy held me in her arms during the long ride from Johnstown. I fell in love with her when we stopped for lunch. I got to eat my first hamburger ever. Yummy! Now I'm brave, even silly about most stuff. My main job is to help Mommy relax and get out of her head, especially when she gets in from work. The minute the garage door opens, I feel a smile coming on! I even taught my sister, Zoey, to wait for our parents (and anyone else who happens to be walking or driving down the street) by hanging out in the bay window of our living room. It's not feeling as weird to share Mommy and Pop with Zoey. Three months have passed. I'm pretty sure my sister is here to stay. My parents rescued her too. Mommy told me we are both very special and that she has enough love in her heart for both of us. Zoey is always up for an adventure, unless she's hungry. My sister loves a good meal, hers and mine, unless Mommy is watching over us. Squirrels and birds are not too keen on hanging out with us, but they sure are fun to chase around in our back yard. I love all kind of weather, from snow storms to sunshine. Just look at me! Aren't I adoggable? I wanted to share my life's motto with you... "This is gonna be the best day ever!" I also want to dedicate "I'll Always Love my Mama" by The Intruders to my favorite girl! Thank you, sweet Andy. Like your sister, you are quite the scribe. 😎 ShoutOutsWishing you all 'the best week' ever!
Hugs, mar

Andy.....Hey there young man, you sure are handsome. I'd love to meet you in person over tea & biscuits so we could exchange ideas on how to be happy & carefree & loyal. Your Mom tells us that you're an expert on that outlook on life. My guess is that these virtues are simply instinctive for you & your sweet sister, Zoey. I like to learn from the experts, Andy.

It is truly sweet they way they teach each other important things. Andy seems to have accepted his new sister. It took a while for my Indy to realize that food was an ongoing thing. Now he eats slowly, chews every kibble and even licks Tony's bowl when he's done. In fact, right now they're playing at my feet, bouncing into my keyboard tray. They send woofs and howls.

Oh I am praying dear Zoey will learn to slow down and enjoy her vittles... in the meanwhile, I juggle eating times and enhance my supervision.

Sooo beautiful and adorable. I loved this perspective, written from the heart, and you just know that's probably what he's thinking. There's a little person inside Andy somewhere. And I loved the "adoggable." Thank you for sharing this, Maria.

One of my fav series for young readers is written by a lab named Howard. His stories are uber-cool and allllll these years later, I STILL love to re-read them.
