marcoujor: Introducing Daisy's Earrings, Necklaces and Bracelets

I first ‘met’ Daisy Mariposa in 2011 when we both wrote for an online site called HubPages.

She was kind enough to ‘sit’ with me and allow my reading friends to get to know her a bit better in my post called Writer's Interview: Daisy Mariposa.

As I looked over this interview, back from 2012, I wanted to highlight some points that reflect Daisy’s life philosophy and creative expressions. Check out what I’m talking about...

Maria: Daisy, when do you feel most relaxed?
Daisy: I feel most relaxed when I’m creating craft projects, taking photographs, preparing artwork to be used in my Hubs, and researching and writing articles for HubPages. I have always found it very relaxing to engage in creative activities.
Maria: And when do you feel saddest?
Daisy: I feel saddest when I learn about hunger and poverty and cruelty to children, the elderly, and animals. I don’t watch news programs on television, and I very rarely read the news on Internet sites any more.
Picture
I also feel sad when I hear people grumbling and complaining, when I hear people saying negative things, when I see people acting in a negative manner. I greatly dislike negativity. There’s no need for it, no use for it. I wish I could wave a magic wand and have negativity become positivity. Think how much better the world would be.
Maria: How would you describe yourself?
Daisy: I’m an individual, I don’t fit into a mold, I don’t behave or act or do what everyone else does merely as a means of “fitting in”—and that’s okay.
Maria: What is the worst part of getting older?
Daisy: I have no idea what the worst part is of getting older. Is there a  “worst part”? As each day passes, I become smarter and savvier. I look, listen, experience, learn, share my knowledge, and help others.

“Old” is a state of mind. I’ll become more mature, but I won’t become old.

Picture
A few weeks ago I received a Facebook invite from Daisy to check out her newest expressions of creativity and talent at Daisy's Earrings, Necklaces and Bracelets.

On this site, I found Daisy Mariposa’s one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry - one more stunning than the next.

When you check her work out, you’ll see creations that vary in design and materials used. The overall look of her pieces reflects her interest in color, texture, and shape.

Here is a mere sprinkling of what Daisy offers. I am guilty of finding something I love for myself or countless friends who love jewelry as well that I place on my internal wish list. Thanks to some of Daisy’s recent sales and promotions, I am steadily chipping away at my list.

Shopping with Daisy is easy if you live in the US and have an account with PayPal. For those of us who have friends with international addresses, Daisy will ship to Canada and elsewhere, like Sweden and South Africa. This is music to my ears!

Daisy sells her pieces online via BID (auction) and BIN ( Buy It Now) pricing. You will need to take note of the auction end date for the piece you are viewing, If you are interested in an item, you can bid (BID) on it with the starting bid (SB) posted in the description.

Bids are raised by an increment of $1. If you don’t want to take the chance of someone outbidding you for the item, you can Buy It Now (BIN). This stops the auction, and the piece is yours for the BIN price listed.

Daisy invoices within 24 hours of a BIN transaction or the close of an auction. Payment by PayPal in US dollars is due within 24 hours of receipt of the invoice.

From first hand experience, Daisy is prompt and precise in mailing out your treasures.

My packages have arrived in a beautiful purple padded envelope. The blue bubble wrap on each piece of inspiration has a “Thank You” sticker. To some, this may be a tiny gesture. To me, it places gratitude and love into the purchase. I believe those I have/will gift Daisy’s treasures to, will love her work. I know I surely do.

Hoping you will check out Daisy’s work for yourself. It’s worth your time to take a spin around her shoppe. Email me if something catches your eye. I come from the school of ‘you never know’... 😎

Thanks for your very kind words, Sunshine. I can make bracelets and necklaces that are small enough for your granddaughters, in case you're looking for gifts for their next birthdays.

Dear Maria,

As you know, I'm a huge fan of Daisy and her absolutely gorgeous jewelery. She has flair, she has finess, she has style when it comes to her customized art, and I love it! Her jewelry are stunning and I want to wear them all!
Thank you for a great post and a wonderful interview.
Wishing Daisy the very best.
Love and hugs to both of you,

Dear Sannel,

With you, I knew this post was 'preaching to the choir'.

My wish is that you get lots of "Daisy pieces" for your jewelry box - I think we're off to a beautiful start!

I woke up to a pretty blanket of snow...after A & Z 'sleep in' a little more, I know they'll enjoy a romp as their Swedish bro, Freddie, does.

Have a great day! Love and hugs, Maria

Wow, Sannel! I ought to hire you as my marketing director. Thanks for your wonderful words. "Rumor has it" that some bracelets are being shipped to Sweden.

I loved Daisy's work in Hubpages, and actually everything she writes including Facebook posts.

Her creations in the jewelry department are stunning. Sadly, ridiculous shipping to SA and tax prevent me from buying. Daisy, I hope your business grows from strength to strength. You should go big - I can clearly see your creations for sale in boutiques.

Dear Maria, thanks for featuring Daisy again.

Hugs from the far south ♥♥♥

Dear Martie,

I agree with your observations of Daisy's creative expression.

I am hoping for the day when it is not so cost prohibitive to ship to SA...in the meantime, thank goodness for PayPal.

Love and hugs back to you, mar

Martie, please send me a PM with your mailing address. I want to do some research to find a way to ship my jewelry to you at a reasonable cost. I ordered beads from artisans in both France and Israel, and the amounts I paid for shipping were quite low. A colleague ships his completed jewelry pieces from India to the United States at exceptionally good rates.

I just ordered the most beautiful necklace created by Daisy. It's easy to see that each piece of jewelry is very high quality. I love the original designs and will be ordering more.

Thank you Mar for featuring Daisy's creations.

As we all come from the Hubpages community initially, Daisy has been a friend of mine for many years. Not only is she one of the nicest I've met, she's a true friend and always there when the need arises. So, I decided to try out her offerings when she started her business. For one of my wife's Christmas gifts, I chose a beautiful blue and white bracelet. It arrived as yours did, sweet Sis, and didn't disappoint as far as the beauty or quality were concerned. I know my wife will love it. If she doesn't, she's an idiot. Then again ..... :)

I know and love the bracelet you selected for your saint (I mean wife). I think she'll love it too ... :)

Lovely post, sweet friend! It's late here, but I wanted to be sure to come by the same day you posted. :) I know Daisy from when I used to write at HubPages more - and I'm thinking I should write more articles over there again. :)
These pieces of jewelry are gorgeous! I find Daisy to be incredibly talented and her work is exquisite! What a beautiful highlight of her work in this post.

Thanks for your visit and wonderful words about our mutual friend, Daisy.

I haven't written for HP in quite a while. However I've made some wonderful writing friends there. I still follow their work (in my usual untimely but well-intentioned manner) whether they write on HP or their own website.

You have a beautiful week as well. Hugs, Maria

Mar, thanks for this post. I had no idea Daisy makes jewelry. I'm assuming by the BID and BIN that she's on eBay. I always opt for BIN when I shop there. I don't have the patience to watch an auction or wait for it to be over. When I'm shopping for something, I want it now!

I'm heading to her store as soon as I hit the "submit" button!

P.S. I love that Daisy ships in purple. That's my favorite color!

Vinaya, thank you for your kind words, my friend. My 4-year university degree is in Fine Arts, I worked at a national chain of arts and crafts stores for a few years. I did products demonstrations and taught craft classes. I thought it was about time I created a site for selling my jewelry designs.

[Everyone, Jacky returned to her home in the UK a few days ago after living in France for the past year. I purchase lampwork beads that Jacky creates.]

Jacky, what a lovely surprise to hear from you! Thanks for your wonderful comments. I have an earring design planned for the purple/clear beads that arrived recently. I also have an idea for the yellow beads that will be arriving shortly. I plan to combine those with mineral chips of natural aragonite.
