Over this week, I've needed to remind myself that a traumatic incident in my life is history - that things are different today, in the best of ways.
Family and close friends have been faithful in their love and support of me. With some distance from the recent negativity, I am able to acknowledge the power I have over my own thoughts and reactions.
Once again, music has been healing for me. Hoping this week's selections will bring back a positive memory for you or instill an interest in learning more about one of the selected artists.
I think the title of this song will cause an instant smile in my family - a "blast from the past", if you will...
This is a "hot off the press" song from an artist I've been loving since the 1980s. Elvis Costello and the Imposters have a timeless sound. The influence of Burt Bacharach makes this album, called "Look Now" an instant favorite.
Your ears are not deceiving you, KSA...! There really is one Steely Dan song I enjoy listening to... :)
Charles Bradley released his first album when he was 62-years young. Sadly he died of cancer in September, 2017 leaving behind some unforgettable songs. RIP "Screaming Eagle of Soul".
