![]() November is a symbolic month - a time of transition, a change from the warm to the cold, a time of reflection, pause and gratitude - both for what we have and those who have gone before us. I remember my parents and other family, friends who will forever live on in my heart and memories. I often wonder what they would think (and say) about the state of our affairs. Today I join my cyber writing family in wishing our South African friend, Martie, and your beloved family peace and healing in the weeks to come. Your son in law is a hero and a miracle. I pray that all the good he has done in his line of work as a police officer will return a million-fold in these weeks as he recuperates. Positive energy and all our best to Danie - and of course to you, dear Martie. Musical Intermission: With the birthing of this musical series, I have discovered some new readers who also have a penchant for musical diversity. As we celebrate "E" - songs this week, I salute my "E"- student (who is ironically an "A" in my book). "E" et al... Enjoy :) Something Old: As a little girl, the lyrics of this song made me sad. It dawns on me that I was a "born" a psych nurse - one on a lifetime musical journey. Something New: I am forever grateful to my friend, V, who shared her love of Fabrizio Paterlini with me. This "E"-album (En La Noche / At Night) is a bit over an hour in length. I guarantee, whether listening from start to finish or as your schedule permits, that you will feel more at peace. And I'm all for that peaceful feeling - listen up, dear Martie ...!! Something Borrowed: November 16th would have been Dad's 95th birthday. It's seems fitting to share some Frank Sinatra here today. Something Blue: Here's some "Hot Chocolate" for these chilly autumnal days - yes, to the whipped cream for me...! ShoutOutsWishing you and those you love a peaceful Thanksgiving filled with the people, things and music that makes you happy. See you next week for some "F"-songs.
Hugs, mar

Hello mar - '"born" a psych nurse" has something of a Twilight Zone tone about it. But, hey, what do I know? Sending Martie boatloads of extra energy as she carries this additional load that life has dished out. And speaking of dishes, here is wishing you a warm Thanksgiving day spent with loved ones. The Beatles were a nice fit here. Now listening to Frank.

Hey, Sis. Great music. Also, best wishes to Martie's son-in-law for a quick recovery. It was indeed a blessing the bullet traveled so close but missed so many vital areas. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. May your day be filled with all the happiness you deserve!

"Ebb Tide" goes back deeply in my history. I love this version by Sinatra before he changed his style. Thank you. And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!! Hugs!
