![]() "Regardless of what is going on around you, make the best of what is within your power, and take the rest as it occurs."- Epictetus "Do your best. Take the rest with a grain of salt." - Miss Sammie Time passes like the wind. Some days are way better than others. The stress of today will most likely not matter tomorrow. Epictetus and my wise Mom remind me to cherish what truly matters in life and within myself. Please join me in listening to some OH so wonderful "O"-songs: Something Old: I have long loved the mournful, yet oddly comforting, sound of Roy Orbison's voice - this may be my all-time favorite. Something New: I'm just getting to appreciate the folk rock music of The Lumineers. Take a listen to "Ophelia" and see if they are your cup of musical tea ... Something Borrowed: Apologies in advance for this cheesy video ... close your eyes and rock out to one of my perennial favorite YES songs. Something Blue: For me this song needs no words - the instruments have a "blues mind" of their own. ShoutOutsUntil next week, wishing you peace and a song in your heart, mar

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, oh wait that's your line this week. You can't go wrong quoting Miss Sammie. Roy Orbison, now that brings up memories. The Lumineers seemed to use the same tempo in Ophelia and Ho Hey. Thanks for the music fix.

You know what's funny, Mar? Husby was half asleep on the couch, spent from the day. I was reading your post and, like I always do, I start playing the videos one by one. Well, J perked up as soon as Roy Orbison came on. I never knew how much he loved Roy Orbison until I played the video on your site here. We went down a rabbit hole to YouTube land in which we played video after video of songs by Roy Orbison and which then led us to the Traveling Wilburys. Nearly an hour later, I made my way back here and husby wanted to hear the other videos you picked. So now, I have the last one playing, as I sure do love the blues. :) See what you started there? I came over here at 9:20 pm to comment, and here it is, 10:23 and I'm finally finishing my comment. The power of music. The POWER. Hehe. I love your songs, your posts and your taste. <3

O... Oh....Ohhh, Only the Lonely was such a favorite of mine.... when I could still listen to sad music without spiraling down into the depths of depression.
