![]() Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence." -- Lin Yutang I recently received an email from HubPages "congratulating" me for eight years of writing. If truth be told, I haven't written for HubPages for several years now. However, this annual email is my personal acknowledgement of the wonderful writers / friends whom I met on Hubpages. And eight years of friendship and camraderie, give or take, is an incredibly long time to me. So thank you for allowing me to be a part of your virtual worlds - especially in my role of "switchboard Momma". Along those lines, have you seen where Kimmie Thompson (Sunnie Day) is back writing up a storm on her website, Life By Grand Design, along with her husband, Roy. I'll be including some of their posts (about travel, gardening and more...) in upcoming ShoutOuts. If you are new to Kimmie's writing, check her out. She is a magnet for positivity and sure to cause a smile in your heart. And now, onto the "T"-songs ... I am already feeling nostalgic at the thought of concluding this alphabetical series. For those of you who are sending me your thoughts about upcoming theme / artist / song suggestions, I am forever grateful. Something Old: Not to be corny, but there's a kind of hush in my inner mind, when I hear this song - filled with memories of childhood innocence, trust and love. Something New: If you have never heard of Brandi Carlile, you're in for an incredible experience in music listening. And, if you have, you know exactly what I'm talking about - no JOKE. Something Borrowed: Thomas, my dear bro-cuz, this song is all about you and me ... :) I can envision Sammie and Mary Ruth smiling and shaking their sweet heads in heaven at the two of us. Something Blue: This musical series would be sorely lacking without some Billie Holiday. If ever a 'lady (could) sing the blues' - well, listen for yourselves... ShoutOutsUntil next week, wishing you peace and a song in your heart, mar

Good morning sweet friend! Has it been that long since Hun pages? I will always remember hub pages fondly as that is where I met you,Mike, and many other special friends. Years later the connections are still as priceless. I cannot thank you enough for the encouragement and shout out to our new blog. I am so happy to be writing again but mostly reconnecting with precious friends such as your self. Life’s circumstances can try to keep one down but somehow...it also calls us to walk through it, rise above, and keep going. I love all your choices of songs this mornings. I am headed to the rec center to do bloodpressures but wishing you a beautiful day! Love and hugs!

Good morning mar. I am listening to The Herman's Hermits, plenty of flashback memories from that era. Wonderful to see the announcement that Kimmie is writing a blog again. Now, I am heading over to the rec center to get my blood pressure checked. First I have to find an umbrella, its pouring.

Many emotions all bundled up in a quick post, Mar. First, gratitude for the site that brought so many of us together in a lasting bond that surpasses their changes and games. Next, glad to find our mutual friend, Kim, again. Have missed her sweet thoughts and posts. And finally, such rich memories of childhood and young love with Herman and his Hermits. Cheers to you for bringing it all together today. If it weren't for HP I would never have met you! Hugs.

Dearest Maria, I hope you are doing well and surviving cold weather. Getting a letter from Hubpages is probably trying to get you to write again. I have been writing again the past few months, but there are s have met some interesting new people however.

Morning Mar, My computer is playing T-ricks on me, and there was a kind of hush this morning without my usual notification on my desk top, but I T-racked you down, thank you for the T-unes, and reconnecting us with Kimmie, have a great day, from me in the still frozen latitudes...

I think my favorite from this week's edition is Billie Holiday. Something in her very unique voice always draws me in no matter what she is singing.

I can't believe you're already in the T's!? Whatcha gonna do after you finish the alphabet? Perhaps you're just savoring the moment, being present, and when that "present" comes, you'll just take it as it comes. :) And that is just fine. Hehe.

Indeed, dear Cynthia, time has raced by in this musical intermission series.

Always lovely when you stop by to enjoy the music and peace, dear Martie. I'm always smiling at the music we have unwittingly shared over the years before we knew each other.
