![]() "You will enrich your life immeasurably if you approach it with a sense of wonder and discovery, and always challenge yourself to try new things." -- Nate Berkus This quote seemed timely this week for a couple reasons. Our family is welcoming Miss Fannie, a beautiful 9-week English Springer Spaniel to our home this Easter weekend. The wonder and discovery that a puppy brings is like none other to me. We are also looking forward to seeing how our 5-year old Black Lab, Andy, will rise to the challenge of being Miss Fannie's BIG brother... More to come ... that's fur sure! On a musical note, I am amazed at how quickly this A to Z Musical Intermission has come to a conclusion. Thanks to those loyal listeners who have been with me since October, 2018, when I started this musical journey. Your comments and suggestions along the way have been duly noted and ever so much appreciated. In fact, your feedback has given me the motivation to continue channeling my inner - DJ to create a uniquely-themed sound track each and every week - starting next Wednesday. This is a challenge that I meet with open arms - and hopefully a cooperating website ... Please enjoy the four "Z"- tunes as this labor of love concludes ... any ides for future themes, artists, songs are always welcome in the comments or via email: Something Old Although this tune can be an instant association with Disney, I prefer this rendition - hope you do as well... Something New I happened upon this song in my search for a new-Z song. Alicia Keys is not currently in my listening sphere - thinking I need to rectify this... Something Borrowed Dolores O'Riordan's untimely death in January, 2018 caused The Cranberries to disband. Her hauntingly powerful vocals will always live on - especially in a song like "Z"ombie. Something Blue I wanted to end the Blues series with an infusion of ska-swing, as performed by the Cherry Poppin' Daddies. "Zoot Suit Riot" is one of those songs that can completely (and wonderfully) turn a frown into a smile - instantly. ShoutOutsUntil next week, wishing you peace and a song in your heart, mar

Hello mar - Miss Fannie and Andy will turn out to be best buds. That is after she puts him in his place. Interesting song choices. I am sure the dj in you will find a way to continue bringing music to your readers.

Cherry Poppin Daddies played the kind of music I loved to dance to. Miss Fannie is a lucky girl to be coming into your home. I hope Andy will love her. Your musical- intermission was a work of love and it was fun to look back at the good old days musically. Until next time. Love and hugs.

I always loved the Cranberries. Wait, I STILL do. I was sad to hear about Dolores and the song Zombies is so telling, isn't it?
