Marcoujor: Not Too Shabby

Picture
I have been a nurse for over thirty years. I have taught holistic nursing to nurses for over ten years.  As such, I am a firm believer in the mind - body - spirit connection and the importance of self - care.

Nurses are wired to take care of others.  With the demands of family and work, taking care of ourselves can be seen as selfish. Time and expense are two chief reasons others come first.

I feel passionately that we should all take precious care of ourselves. We really cannot care for others, family or patients, unless we ourselves are whole and intact.

There is nothing selfish about self-care.

We are taught to grab the oxygen mask first on the airplane, even before our child, in order to assist others around us.

It's ironic that I used to spend a fortune on pedicures.  As a nurse making rounds on hard-wood floors is rough on your feet.  Plus, I have always loved walking / hiking and my feet  have had the callouses to prove it through the years ...!

I was vain as a young lady, wearing high heels and pushing my poor feet to the very limits of comfort.  I guess I always took them for granted until I was 37 years of age.  I took much for granted until I almost died.

But in plain-speak, I was shot in the foot. That really put a damper on my penchant for high heels... And all these years later, I have never looked back.

Not too shabby... which brings me to  "the heart and sole"  of this post... Shabbybath Naturals products...!

A few weeks ago, my friend Angelia Phillips (femmeflashpoint), started advertising Shabbybath products on one of her blogs. From there, I checked out Tammy and Maria's website.  I was immediately attracted to the product line as I am a fan of aromatherapy for myself and as gifts for family and friends.

I found the prices to be reasonable and the selection to be fabulous as far as fragrances.  I must say I am partial to lavender and lemongrass but there really is a scent for everyone's palate and preference.

a FEW PRODUCT REVIEWS FROM THEIR WEB-STORE

Tammy and Maria are an amazing collaborative team.  Their customer service is A ++, as evidenced by prompt shipping, delivery within two days of ordering and each item is  well packed.

The quality of each item I have ordered is outstanding.  I can hardly wait to place my next order.  I want to share my impressions of the products I have bought so far with you and hope you will check out Shabbybath Naturals for yourself ... I know for a fact that you are worth it!

Have a beautiful and peaceful day!

Hugs,

mar

You will not be disappointed, Friedman. Some of the Shabbybath scents, especially bay rum, are wonderful for the men folk...or so I am told!

Aw, how sweet of you ... yes, I need to start off on the right foot hahaha. You would not say that about my feet if you could see them, as they are truly pitiful ... runs in the family. I don't know if you remember seeing my "Big Toe Photo"LOL ... Yikes Love you too, Theresa

What a testimonial! And all natural, too. Right up my ally, Mar.

I can relate to the heels thing. I wore them (at work) up until 2 years ago. Now I'm barefooted all the time. Actually, when I worked outside the home, the first thing I'd do is take off my shoes. I've been a barefoot kid most of my life and the bottoms of my feet are proof!

I love the review you posted; it encourages me to seriously consider buying Shabbybath Natural's products!

Mar, I received my cherry lip balm and just love it. It slides on silky smooth and keeps my lips moist without feeling gloppy. Awesome product! Thank you so much!

You are such an angel friend to me that I wish you much peace and tranquility this Easter season, as lavender reminds us of...

I simply adore lavender. Oatmeal is an old time remedy for dry skin that works wonders. Aha the days when we wore spike heels and the aftermath, callous and puggy toes. I will soon place an order.

I love this soap! It lathers up just fine for shaving, holds up well in the shower without disintegrating, and retains its scent for the life of the bar. I am partial to the lemongrass as well.

Maria - close your eyes snd ears - this guy is not only dirty, he is very very naughty! I love lavender too, only one problem - no shipping to Canada. You and I are both out of luck, Epi, my dear fresh hero!! I've come to know he is truly "forever blowing bubbles." Nuff said.

Dear Vicki,

Excuse me for being late in response but I was cleansing from that last "fresh remark" from Sir Colin. Fortunately I had plenty of wonderful products to choose from thanks to Tammy and Maria.

I must tell you that even 'moi' cannot order lavender soap at this time. The girls notified me (they are so attentive and personal...amazingly cool!) that they sold out at their last show. I was disappointed but ordered a lovely substitute in "Lovespell" (cover your ears, Colin).

Now, as "I" ship to Canada (as long as I get your address right...LOL), you will indeed get lavender soap...but not until June, my Sista.

Enjoy your day...Love, Maria

Vicki,

I'm happy to get to correct you in one thing ....they DO ship to Canada.

I double-checked with the owners to be sure and they've confirmed it.

Sadly you'll still have to wait for them to fill lavender orders, but I think it's really awesome that they're products have gotten so popular that they're running short in supply of some.

To me, that's the scent of success!

:)

After femme's post I have spent some time on that site, wishing that I could trust the companies who are supposed to the deliver orders all over the world. I also wished our government was not the greedy monster it is, taxing every import into an unaffordable price class, trying to force us to support local businesses. Incidentally, Mar, I was also wondering if you would like this very cocoa butter shower lotion..... :)))

Dear Martie,
I am also sorry the mail delivery is so unreliable between the US and SA, especially when I would yearn to send you these lovely products.
And yes, the cocoa shower butter lotion is heavenly.
Hope you had an awesome birthday and weekend to come.

Awesome review and thank you so much for the shabbybath Lemongrass hand made, goat's milk soap. It smells divine and with the yellow swirls on top, looks too pretty to use. Am gonna save it for the next overnight guest company I have. In the meantime, I'll keep it on display to enjoy the scent. Love, Gail

Not too shabby is right! I just love the Almond Biscotti lip balm. Thank you so much. It is so yummy, I almost want to eat it, and my husband kept wanting to kiss me so much after I put it on, as my lips were extra yummy and soft : ) ... Five stars +

This stuff is bringing out the erotic in the men too. Theresa, you know who in Eastern Canada will have read your lip balm comment. Surprised you haven't had a comment from him - he tends to be quite 'lippy'. Maria, I must look and see if they have anything suitable for a male with chapped lips and two spoilt cats? Do you know?

Hi Vicki,

Colin made a sudsy appearance above in an earlier comment...

I think the bay rum scent seems to be musky and masculine...check out the selection and use your wonderful judgment as well and you cannot go wrong!

Happy Easter and much love, Maria
