![]() While strolling with my Black Labrador son the other day, a neighbor remarked, "Everyone in the neighborhood knows who Andy is!" Choosing to take this as a compliment, I agree that Andy may be our most socially connected pooch to date - especially with the lady dawgs. Grateful that all of our pets go to the Vet for that operation, this Momma gets to watch The Bachelor(live) in my own back yard. The show airs at least six times on every given day. I've developed a new appreciation for an old song that tormented my family for years as I played it into the ground. Dear Readers, I now share this apropos song with you, Donnie Osmond's Puppy Love. ![]() My guy can be sound asleep on the second floor with all windows closed. Once one of his two lady friends comes out to play, Andy is up in a flash and running to the porch door. Both of these gals, Jasmine and Macy, are camera shy. As you can see, Mr. Ham Bone is always ready for his close up... It thrills me that Andy has the ability to spread joy and cheer as his sister, Aunt Baby, did before him. His attitude is infectious.
This Spring feels like the perfect time to get Andy a little sister. We figure our boy will quickly assume the role of a protective brother - having a sidekick to share more love and happiness with. Hoping by this time next month, we'll have an announcement to make...along with some baby shots! I'm inspired to share this song, by Blood, Sweat and Tears: You Made Me So Very Happy. It's one of a few that Andy's Momma sings to him... I'll share this life motto again - as I still can't argue with it... "This is gonna be the best day ever!" An UpdateThanks to those of you who have been keeping positive thoughts and prayers going for Linda Bilyeu, and family, as the search for information about Randy Bilyeu continues. Family of missing treasure seeker hunts for answers via Santa Fe + New Mexican Around the Weeblyhood...I'm never disappointed when I check out the work of my favorite indie writers. Until next week, find joy in every day...even if you have to take a tip from Andy... Hugs, mar

Loved your adventures with Andy plus sound tracks! Our baby Wrigley experienced a mis-adventure yesterday. We were having our back deck painted (house built in 1926). It is wrought iron requiring oil based paint. The painter finished not realizing that my husband had let Wrigley out. He rolled in the paint and had it up all four of his legs as well as his tail. He seemed to be having a great time. After a call to poison control, they said to use Dawn. It took us two full bottles, but it absolutely did work. So, Wrigley forgot that his heritage is Chinese not Irish. Take care. Barbara

That is quite a tail!. Andy is spreading love everywhere he goes. And a sister - that will make the entire house 'so very happy.' Blood, Sweat, & Tears - among the greats.

Aww. . . Andy sure knows how to spread love, joy and affection to everyone who cross his path, just like his sweet Mommy. I'm so happy to hear the joyous news. Andy will be such an awesome and proud big brother. Looking forward to meet his sister, and I can't wait to see pictures of them together. :)

Yeah, Andy is getting a sister! Can't wait to meet her! I hope he's not going to be jealous, after being your baby for so long, Mar?

We have showered Andy with love...and still have plenty for his sister-to-be, dear Martie. Sure he may be insecure at first, but my guy knows he's a "Momma's boy".

Andy is getting a friend, how sweet! I have good news. I went to the Evansville, In. animal shelter yesterday to select a cat. If you remember about 2-3 years I had allergies so bad. I went to an allergist who shot me with every allergy known to man and one that was the worst was animal dander, so I've stayed away from any contact until last week. I went with my friend Tammy to her daughter's house where she had animals galore. I held her cat and had no reaction of any kind. I was so excited. I love cats, so I'm getting one. I would've gotten it yesterday but my niece was with me and she said not to make a rash decision, to wait to see if I had any kind of reaction from holding several cats at the shelter. I HAVE HAD NONE!!!!!! I couldn't decide between two cats, one was black with white paws an neck, the other was brownish black. The area where they were housed was open, no cages they were free to roam about, of course it had a door so they couldn't get out, so I'm going back and sit on a couch in the room and the first one that jumps on my lap is mine. If this works out well I will get a dog too. I want a little white fur ball. I saw some adorable ones. They were caged and their eyes told me they wanted out. Enough about me...I didn't know about Linda's ex-husband. I am so sorry. I will be looking for pictures of Andy's new friend. Love you my friend... Shared...

Mar, I'm so glad you're getting a sister for Mr. Andy. I'm a firm believer in having at least two pets when the human parents work outside the home. They need companionship. I'm sure Andy will be thrilled!
