marcoujor:  The Music of April

"The world is exploding in emerald, sage, and lusty chartreuse - neon green with so much yellow in it. It is an explosive green that, if one could watch it moment by moment throughout the day, would grow in every dimension.” ― Amy Seidl

Spring landed in our neck of the woods on March 20th - at least technically. Now more than midway through April, the frigid temps of winter are ancient history - replaced with balmy breezes, sunshine and every shade of green in the Crayola box.

A Springer landed in our neck of the woods on April 20th - by the name of Miss Fannie. After some sniffing and nuzzling Andy, our 5-year old Lab, became a big brother - one of the finest in the land, I might add!

Like her brother, Miss Fannie also loves music. With even more assist, my jukebox of tunes will never be unplugged. Enjoy  these Spring - themed recommendations from my Springer!

Oh sweet puppy! Miss Fannie is adorable, thanks so much for sharing her with us Mar. And the Simon and Garfunkel gave me shivers, I'd forgot about that April song. Happy to hear things are warming up for you, and your whole doggone family.

Yes, this Simon and Garfunkel is one of their finest.

Spring is my favorite season. Here in Texas the brightest green leaves have popped out everywhere, the bluebonnets are in full bloom and spring is in the air. We're having torrential rain today and for the next few days. ("Though April showers, may come your way. . . They bring the flowers, that bloom in May. ♫")
I absolutely love your newest addition to the family, Miss Fannie. She looks like she will be a joyful player in the household and I know Andy will appreciate the company.
Listening to your music picks now.
Love and hugs,
Peg

I am rather partial to Spring myself, dear Peg.

I am already seeing such a sweet and positive change in Andy thanks to his little sister. She is a bundle of joy from morning to night.

Have a peaceful evening and thanks for listening to the tunes.

Love, Maria

Auw, Miss Fanny is soooo pretty and cuddly. I just knew Andy would love her instantly. At last he has a sister and friend.

April 20th is also the birthday of my late father.

Down here Autumn has just begun.

Thank you for all the lovely music, dear Mar. I will never get enough of Simon and Garfunkel.

Lots of love to you and your loved-ones.

Martie

PS: You are always on my mind.

Dear Martie,

You are always on my mind as well. Hoping you have been gentle with yourself with the memories of your dear Father.

Simon and Garfunkel does transcend our world - one of the many things you and I have in common.

Miss Fannie, Andy and I all send you lots of love, mar

Hi dear Mareer,

Lovely to wake up and find sweet music plus the adorable little Miss Fannie gracing your site! You can see she has a nice nature, and will "jell" very well with dear Andy. Your branch office will look very busy as you all work in the garden. So glad for all of you.
The music is totally my style today! Thanks for that too!
Love and hugs,
Vickster

Hi Maria, I didn't get an email this week, but saw you on Facebook, so I am a day late, better late than never. I agree that Spring is a wonderful season, especially if you live up north.

I enjoyed the music today. Ella Fitzgerald was my favorite as I remember hearing similar music growing up as my mother loved the big band era.

Have a good rest of the week. Love, Pam

Thanks for finding this through FB, dear Pam. I'm afraid that Miss Fannie has her Mom a little distracted ... :)

My Dad was partial to the big band songs as well - this music does stand the test of time.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. Love and hugs, Maria

I am really liking that "Deep Purple" song. Sometimes it's all too easy for me to look at an "old" song and think, hmm, it's probably not going to be as good as some of the more modern ones. And then I listen and think, "yeah, no wonder it's prevailed." I love the melody! I am also partial to wordless music - I often listen to epic-style music while driving to work to rev myself up, get inspired and feel the deep tones of the bass as well as the harmonics infusing into my soul. Oh that reminds me...I need to go update my playlists before heading out today. See what you did there? Hehe. I wish you a wonderful rest of your week! xoxo

Dear Cynthia,

Thank you so much for appreciating this Deep Purple song.

When I was in my early 20s, I loved listening to rock operas. Albums and songs were musical stories - filled with concepts, messages and even some wisdom.

Thanks for your feedback and for being you. Love you, Maria

Dear Paula,

It's easy to get thoroughly absorbed with the antics and shenanigans of these two Jordan dawgs. I know Miss Fannie and Andy would have an instant love-connection with you.

Happy Friday! Love and hugs, Maria

Dear Maria,

Spring has arrived here in Sweden too, and no one's happier than Freddie and I. It's great to be back here and thank you so much for sharing some great music with us, as well as your newest bundle of Spring with us. Miss Fannie is such a pretty young lady, and I know she will bring the Jordan family so much joy and happiness, and Aunt Baby is happily waggling her sweet, little tail and smiling in blessing from above.:)
Our love and hugs,
Sannel and Freddie
