"Be silly, be energetic, be selfless, be resilient, be compassionate, be forgiving, be loyal, be loving... Be Doglike." -- Ron Schmidt

In less than two weeks, Miss Fannie has become fearless, trusting, wildly curious, zanily funny and even more cuddly, soft and sweet than upon arrival.

In less than two weeks, Andy has become a "young man", protective, hypervigilant and even more zanily funny, sweet and loving.

Here is this week's shot of Miss Fannie, along with the ever-watchful Andy, in the nursery -- oops, I mean the sun room ... :)

Happy May ... this week's musical theme seemed appropro - hope you enjoy this collection of May tunes.

I wish Mom could have spent time with Andy and Miss Fannie. She would have doted on them, as she did with Alvin, Aunt Baby and our many kitties over the years.

I dedicate this Queen song - Lily of the Valley - to Mom. She indulged my obsession with Queen and she loved her birth month flower ... so here you go:

I like the be like a dog as they are alwys loyal and loving. We should strive to be the same. So, happy May!

I enjoyed the music, and I had never heard "End of May". I thought it was beautiful. Good music choices Maria!

What delightful photos of your newest family member. Like I imagined, Andy has taken on the role of big brother, protector and friend to Miss Fannie. They are adorable. I believe that Miss Sammie would have loved them as you do!
I just listened to "First of May" and watched the video. What wonderful memories of being young and zany in a simpler world. I, too, miss those innocent times. Catching up with the rest of the music selections now.
Love and hugs,
Peg

Yup, Miss Fannie became a Jordan the moment she stepped paw into our home.

Hope you are enjoying these May picks. Hugs, mar

Mar, I'm thrilled that the Jordan clan has a new addition to the family. I'm guessing Andy loves being a big brother.

Love your music choices. Lily of the Valley is my favorite flower. For such a tiny plant, they sure have a powerful scent! I wish they grew here in Florida, but they don't. They grew wild at our house in Philly. Very fond memories.

Dear Sha,

Indeed, Andy has taken quite a shine to his baby sister - sweet to watch them together.

When Geoff and I purchased our current home, I knew this was the right place for us. There was (still is) a glorious patch of Lily of the Valley right next to our front door. Mom got many a bouquet and she dearly loved her birth month flower, as we both do.

Love you and big hugs, mar

Lovely selection as usual, my friend. The Bee Gees and Queen - some of my favorites! And I must comment on Fannie and Andy - how sweet they are! I love how they've become buddies and they're so sweet and supportive of each other. It sounds like your hands are full with a new puppy, but so fun and so worth it. :) I hope your week is going well so far. Sending you big hugs and thank you for being you. :)

Dear Cynthia,

It's fun to see what music we have in common each week - you are truly an old soul... :)

Andy and Miss Fannie love hard and play hard - that's for sure! It feels like she has always been part of the family.

Have a peaceful day. Love you lots, Maria

Dearest Mar

Your kiddies look happy and contented - obviously because they have the most loving parents. Andy looks quite proud and protective in his new role as big-brother.

The music goes perfectly with May.

Hugs,

Martie

Dearest Maria,

Thank you for your lovely selection of May music and for an enjoyable read. I believe the world would be a much kinder, compassionate place if we all were a bit more "Doglike" :)
Love the pictures of the two adorable, sweet faces. Muahh!!

Hugs,

Sannel

Dear Sannel,

You have written this beautiful comment on Aunt Baby's heavenly birthday - she would have been "15" and ever so proud of the younger generation.

It's always wonderful when you visit / listen to music with me.

Love you and thanks, Maria
