Gestalt Weekend in Cape May, NJ

I headed to Cape May, NJ for my second annual work shop this past weekend.

I felt Mom's presence in rain in varying degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, intertwined with plenty of bursts of sunshine and the ever-soothing sea breeze.

Up top, me playing in the surf last year at Cape May while attending the Gestalt Annual Workshop.

To the right, Andy Jordan.

Once again I was struck by the emotional generosity demonstrated by everyone in attendance.

Mariah Fenton Gladis
is a miracle worker in her dual roles of teacher and healer.  She demonstrates compassionate intuition through active and astute listening like no one else I've encountered.  Her song choices linger in my mental soundtrack indefinitely - providing affirmation and hopefulness when I least expect them.

The opening song that Mariah selected for Saturday morning is an excellent example, sung by Audra Day ~ I Will Rise Up
I return recharged with fresh insights and deep appreciation of the power of self awareness - both in myself and those 'old and new' friends throughout the weekend.

Thanks to Andy for being front and center in welcoming me home on Sunday evening ...  a sweet reception indeed.

Kylie's Blossoms

...is growing in leaps and bounds.

On the heels of publishing a Spanish version called Flores de Kylie, I am proud to announce the publication of an Afrikaans edition, Kylie se Blomme.

I owe a heaping helping of gratitude to the following friends for their talents and patience:
  • Martie Coetser, translator - Afrikaans
  • Paula Jamison-Michalek, assistance - Spanish translation
  • Mike Friedman, illustrator, publisher and good humor technician
Now you didn't hear this from me, but I'm not sure Kylie is done Blossoming...
Enough innuendo--I'll end by saying... more to come!

Absolutely love the new design at the top. Your excitement and enthusiasm comes through to brighten my day along with the lovely song by Andra Day. It was something brand new to me and beautifully sung. Congratulations on your publications of Kylie's Blossoms in Spanish and Afrikaans. Looking forward to a German and French translation along with a host of others. Bravo and hooray for your initiative and renewed spirit after your weekend. Love the photo of you and of Andy. Love, Peg

Dear Peg,

So happy to share Andra Day with you - I'm loving her sound, especially this song.

Dear Maria,
Sounds to me that you had yet another wonderful and much enjoyable annual work shop weekend. Just to meet the amazing and inspirational Mariah Fenton Gladis again, must have been the highlight of the weekend. Loved her choice of opening song, too.
Aww, I can see Andy laying there waiting all weekend long for his Mom's return. What a joyful reunion when you finally returned home. I bet you got lots and lots of sloppy kisses from your boy, haha! Congrats again to you and Kylie spreading your wings out in the world. Hmm. . . How does "Kylies Blomster" in Swedish sound? :)
Take care now!
Thank you for a lovely read, my friend.
My love and hugs to you,
Sannel

Dear Sannel,

I would dearly love for you to attend a workshop with me one day. Mariah has traveled to all corners of the world to conduct her workshops...I believe in the possibility.

OMG, the idea of Kylies Blomster sounds PERFECT... I accept your offer 'when' your schedule calms a bit... besides, I have to give 'our collective partner' a chance to rest - looks like Paula and Martie have plum worn Mike out... :))

Andy was like a shadow 'on me'... and those sloppy kisses are the best!

Thanks for sharing my writing as faithfully as you do. Love you and Freddie too, Maria

Oh, how wonderful to see Kylie's Blossoms in my home language, Afrikaans. I am still overwhelmed after seeing it on Amazon. Marketing 'Kylie se Blomme' is the next challenge on my agenda. I can already see "Kylies Blomster" translated in Swedish by our dearest Sannel. What a marvelous suggestion!

Mar, I am so glad the Gestalt workshops are so successful and meaningful. I can imagine how wonderful it must be in the presence of an amazing woman like Mariah Fenton Gladis.

Re Audra Day ~ I Will Rise Up - Beautiful song in my favorite Adele-style. I wonder who has started this melody-style? Adele, or someone else? The melodies of their songs are extremely challenging; what they do with their voices is absolutely amazing!

I love your new cover picture!

Hugs,

Martie

Dear Martie,

I am in awe of your dedication, attention to detail and collaborative team spirit that you showed in working with Mike and me in this Afrikaans translation of Kylie's Blossoms. And I'm ever so proud of this edition - a million thanks.

I can't wait to mail you some copies when mine arrive - and I appreciate your sharing our good news on FB as well.

I also wish you and I could attend a workshop. I know you would be moved by Mariah's gentle and astute presence as I am.

How uncanny that I hear Adele in Audra Day as well, Sista. I know Adele claims to be heavily influenced by Etta James... my voice crackles at the heights these women reach...yes, amazing.

Thanks for loving my new theme as well. Big hugs back, mar

Prof. Mahreer,

Glad your weekend away was eventful all in good ways but the pic Andy nearly broke my heart, lol. I'm sure Chef Geoff went out of his way to be stellar company to ease the angst of missing his mama!

Congratulations to you and your team in the multi-lingual Kylie collection. I'm with Sannel and Martie and think you should consider a Swedish version as well. ☺

Dear femme,

Andy's Pop is very good to him - especially when Momma is away. Our boy is easy to love... :)

Great expression - 'multi-lingual Kylie collection'... thanks and I have to agree with you about the Swedish version with Sannel's expertise.

Thanks again for making my website so aPEELing... :)

Ah, amiga mia....No hay de que! I was happy to help as much as I could. WoW! You had one done in Afrikaan too! Of course! With our lovely Martie as a good friend, why would you not do that? Terrific. You have a wonderful side career to be proud of Maria! Good thing you're still young & energetic enough to keep up! As pleased & comfy as I am to be retired, there are times I wish I was still "out there" making a difference in people's lives. I think that's the part I miss the most.
Not that I can't do that now understand. It's just that I have to plan it, schedule it, remember it and get it done before my tubby & jammie time at 7pm!!! LOL.....Have a great time & report back!! I'll be waiting to hear all about it. Peace GF! Paula

Oh you make me giggle, dear Paula...our daily routines actually sound quite similar - I don't think very clearly after 7PM either.

Thanks again for your time and assist with the Spanish edition of Kylie's Blossoms - you are an awesome friend.

Love you much, Maria

Dear Maria,
Can't believe it's been a year since we were in Cape May together. I agree that attending one of Mariah's Gestalt workshops is a powerful and life changing experience and that she is truly a gifted healer.
Congratulations on the new and future translations of Kylie's Blossoms. It's exciting to see this lovely book traveling around the globe and reaching children of different cultures.
Love and Hugs,
Gail

Dear Gail,

It is hard to believe how fast time passes. You were very much missed by your Gestalt pals and especially by me. I carried you in my heart with last year's memories still fresh and beautiful.

Thanks for your supportive remarks about the branching out (LOL) of Kylie's Blossoms.

Love and hugs to you and Fred,
Maria

Kylie is becoming quite continental, I may have to add a beret. Cheers. (I meant a beret for Kylie, not me.)

And a beret sounds delightful...color coordinated, of course... :) Brilliant...!
