Maria, this poem speaks the truth and ends in hope. As long as we can see that there is hope, despair will fade away. Lord knows we all feel a sense of despair from time to time. Then a new day dawns and fills us with light, love, wonder and hope.

There is always hope; if I did not believe that I would not be here today...it's as simple as that.

At times the load can seem to shift and people think they can never rebalance. But history shows that more often than not the burdens lessen and a spring returns to their step.

After what you've been through, its a miracle that you can hear those sweet sounds. I was not aware of the horror that came upon you in that hospital that fateful day. I read it from the chapter you placed in Angie and Alastars new book I just downloaded. You are a walking miracle indeed, God bless you sweet lady, I'm so happy it was not your time, you had so much more to give to our world and you have proven it with your kindness, love and dedication to humanity and the love of life and all animals, especially your dogs and cat living with you both. Hugs

Poetic Ponderings
After publishing my second poem, Betrayal, a good friend emailed me to see if she could help! I hastened to explain that my poetry is a cathartic release of universal emotions and feelings.
In my first series, An Alphabet of Affirmations, I developed a positive mantra for healing, from Awe to Zeal, and as I build this collection of poems, I plan to explore those sorrowful and challenging feelings we experience along life's journey.
My goal in this second series is to promote hope, peace and encouragement in all who read. Thank you for taking the time to visit and share.
