"And when great souls die, after a period peace blooms, slowly and irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed.

Every single one of us are fragile. The rigors of life here don't always bless us, many of us are cursed. We wonder why, we ask very deep questions and often find no answers, fragile as we are, living can restore life back into our hearts and souls, many of us reflect on memories that strengthen us again. We must persevere by showing kindness and love to our fellow man/woman and child.

I do not like pain but I know the importance of it. One foot in front of the other and always move forward, learning as we go.

My dearest Maria, this is such a comforting poem, especially after we have buried a very special person today. Memories of him will certainly strengthen us; he was a valuable friend, an asset in the lives of many. Like you, Mar. Even only online YOU, your support, advice and friendship are an asset in the lives of many. I am so blessed to have you as my most special online sista. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful, comforting poem.

Your poetry screams of sadness and then heralds strength. It is so universal but feels so personal.

We are all fragile, yet resilient. We gain strength from that resiliency and bounce back, hopefully stronger than before we became broken.

your poetry, ( fragility ) is so beautiful, full of hope after the pain. I think we all go through hurt and sorrow, yet we bounce back because of hope and faith in a better tomorrow. Thank you dear friend..Hugs..

I know you to be a very strong woman but yet with a tenderness inside and that is why you are so loved and respected by all of your peers and colleagues and friends. Your words here are poetically sincere and they reveal much of the author.

Losing special people in our lives always hurts but life has a way of progressing day by day despite our pain. Our memories keep those people always close to us...just in a different way. We now have to hug them in our dreams! Your poetry encapsulated many of our feelings in a few choice words. Hugs, Peggy

Poetic Ponderings
After publishing my second poem, Betrayal, a good friend emailed me to see if she could help! I hastened to explain that my poetry is a cathartic release of universal emotions and feelings.
In my first series, An Alphabet of Affirmations, I developed a positive mantra for healing, from Awe to Zeal, and as I build this collection of poems, I plan to explore those sorrowful and challenging feelings we experience along life's journey.
My goal in this second series is to promote hope, peace and encouragement in all who read. Thank you for taking the time to visit and share.
